PREPARATION AND RHEOLOGICAL CHARACTERIZATION OF CELLULOSE-CHITOSAN HYDROGEL FOR EXTRUSION 3D PRINTER

The application of three-dimensional (3D) printing in tissue engineering is becoming prominent nowadays. A big obstacle for this technology the selection proper ink material. Chitosan hydrogel an established biocompatible material that can be used as scaffolds, and it has rheology necessary processing via extrusion type 3D printer. However, chitosan still degradation swelling limitations. Hence, blends were incorporated with cellulose particles prepared hydrogels successfully synthesized thermo-responsive sol-gel method. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) analysis showed gelation formed a semi-interpenetrating network ionically crosslinked particles. Rheological tests have shown exhibited shear thinning property printing. high amounts caused clogging during printing, presence water limited structural rigidity printed product. Besides this, was found addition able to increase swelling, decrease rate, time, but effect not significant any these three properties.
